PRINTING PAPERS

There are a variety of papers available that we can use to print your product. On our website, we have listed ONLY A FEW. Should you require a different paper type, weight, color or SFI/FSC certified printing, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a custom estimate.

PAPER SELECTIONS OFFERED ON-LINE:

14pt Cover ~ About 1.5 times the thickness of standard cards that are printed on 100# cover. This is durable card stock that is great for everyday use by our customers and is used on about 40% of our cover paper printed materials.

16pt Cover ~ A little thicker than 14pt cover. This weight of paper usually causes a person to stop and feel the printed card for awhile. This is a weight that will make your card stand out, if it is compared to something your competitor provided.

100# Book ~ Some printing companies call this text weight. It is comparable to a very heavy, magazine weight type of paper (usually the cover of a magazine). 90% of our brochures, flyers, booklets & catalogs are printed on this weight of paper. We offer other book weight papers, so call us if you require something else and we will gladly give you an estimate.

AQUEOUS COATING
Aqueous coating (referred to as AQ) is a clear, non-toxic application used to protect and enhance the printed surface. Aqueous Coating adds brilliance and durability to products printed by YourBusinessInPrint.com (such as postcards, premium flyers, booklets, catalogs). It makes your print brighter and can be written on without a special pen.

UV COATING
UV Coating is a liquid that can be applied to a printed sheet. It is bonded and cured to the paper with an ultraviolet light. This coating yields a tough, almost unscratchable surface that is extremely durable. Some people confuse this with lamination, since it gives off a very similar shine (without the expense). This can usually only be written on with a SHARPIE type of pen.

SPOT UV
The same as UV COATING above, but the liquid coating is specifically applied to a "SPOT" or area that needs to highlighted. Usually, this is placed over a logo or image. The remainder of the area is in a matte finish (no coating).

MATTE FINISH
Matte finish items have a slight varnish (clear ink) that helps protect your final work. It is simply a protective layer placed on top of the printed job. Varnish brings out the brightness of ink after it is applied to the paper.
